Tigerfan420,

You list Buckhead, GA as your location. Do you attend all home games because we really need all the out of town fans who don't like to see empty seats (while watching on tv) start attending games.

This will solve the problem and HOPEFULLY end the threads on this subject.

For the students at least...

Prorate the game length with the points you accrue. Stay for the whole game, you get all 20 points. Leave early and you lose some of that 20.

i think selling alcohol would def help...... as far as the traffic issues are concerned, the layout of Baton Rouge is dog shite for non-game driving to begin with so don't really know if theres much you can do there anyway

people were literally GIVING AWAY tickets to UK last weekend... and still people were refusing them

I doubt many "die hards" who didn't have tickets were wandering outside the stadium looking for tickets. And the folks refusing tickets probably already had one...

One issue is businesses who give away tickets to clients, they may have 5 tickets, for example, but a good client only needs 3-4. He takes all 5 but doesn't have anyone else to take. The extra(s) were free so he doesn't have any incentive to sell it. This has happened to me on several occasions.

3. show highlights of other games going on during the commercials
4. massive wifi service for cell phones. people want to communicate during the game and use facebook/twitter.

I really like these two.

Close games don't keep fans in the stands

Everyone leaves at halftime regardless. We need to have some shitty seasons to get the band wagoners off

the Kentucky game was funny

everyone before the game was "this will be a hard fought game", "Kentucky is legit and LSU will struggle", or "Ugh I don't want to see LSU struggle against Kentucky"

and then LSU destroys them and everyone is "Ugh how boring, lets go home"

Honestly, we don't play the most exciting brand of football, either.

poor excuse...fans bitch after any play that doesn't go for either 10 yards, a TD or a first down. First and goal on the 2, the back is stopped for no gain, and it's "WHAT THE frick WAS THAT??!!". Same play scores on the next play, "YEEAAHHH, THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!!!"

I think getting games back under 3 hours would help. I once thought it was just a CBS thing, but Saturday's game was loooooong. Both teams used all 3 timeouts in the first half, and the game took 3 hours just to get to midway in the third quarter.

I'm not saying it makes it right to leave, but watching a 4 hour game that doesn't make it to overtime is a bit much. The networks need to keep the red hats off the field when they have already exceeded their time allotment.

This past weekend was my first home game in 9 years. My observations are that the place looks like a professional stadium. It looks great, but it seems in all the upgrades a different type of fan has been attracted in some cases (not all). I guess the upgrades cost, and the ticket prices go up.

The entire row behind me was late 20-something's, the guy being plastered, and the girls couldn't stop talking about their old sorority. It was completely a social event for them. Just a cool place to be on a Saturday night. They left at halftime.

Just my casual and brief observations.

Also I stayed until the end, even later to collect cups, and traffic was no problem. Maybe that's cause half the stadium emptied out by halftime. Lol

Maybe give away free tickets and a hotel room for the next away game to whoever is in seat XYZ in the 4th quarter.

Improve traffic flow after the game. Widen Nicholson out to Bluebonnet, and setup rail based mass transit systems (the kind that won't get stuck in traffic) to an from the big parking structures downtown. Maybe pave more parking near the stafium as well.

Improved night life within walking distance of the stadium (the kind that 25-40 year olds enjoy).

Honestly, I don't understand why people don't stay other than traffic concerns. Even when we lose, we walk very deliberately after the game to our tailgate spot and hang out for a while, socialize, people watch, and enjoy ourselves.

That would be when my experience in Tiger Stadium ends. Alcohol is not needed. I saw first hand in Morgantown what selling beer at a college football game can do.

every game at every stadium has traffic

I've been to a Texas longhorn football game every year the past 5 years and stayed for the duration every time and not once have I been in traffic for more than 20 minutes.
