Holy Crap! I'm pretty sure he was being nice to you and was going to send you free fishing stuff because you enjoy fishing with your daughter. I don't think he was being an arse, at least I don't think he was.

Hell BooDreaux, to get this on the right track... my daughter is 3 and I plan on taking her fishing at some local lakes/ponds here in the Dayton area. It is obviously fresh water and she's a little one. What you recommend for her to use in your opinion (rod, etc.). Thanks!

Something that fits her size, might be a Barbie/Snoopy rod with a bobber & simple bait like bread balls, crickets, worms for bream & panfish. Really anything that will bite & keep her interest.

Best advice is go to your best local tackle dealer and get their input.
