He is correct. The only problem I have personally is the style of players which are recruited are not designed to run this system. Recruiting all HS spread offense players and then running primarily Power I is what frustrates many.

Well, to be fair, like 75% of HS offenses run the spread. LSU recruits some of the most talented kids in the country, and I think it us fair to ask that they adapt.

1. LSU does not run a "power I"

2. I don't want LSU to throw 60 times a game

3. I DO want LSU to complete more than 7 passes in a game.

4. running 51 times up the middle works against kentucky, It hasn't against miss state and auburn, and it likely won't against ole miss and bama.

We have recruited Far more pro style qbs than dual threat. They just seem to not work out.
pro style
Rettig, jenning, Zach lee, j lee, rivers
dual threat
JJ, harris, rp

What the hell?

Fournette, spread?
Williams, spread?
Hilliard, spread?
Hill, spread?
Landry, spread?
Mett, spread?
Dupre, spread?
Diarse, spread?
Quinn, spread?
Rettig, spread?
Jennings, spread?

The possible 'spread' recruit might be Harris and he's more dual threat than spread.

They are kids and they can learn a new system.
Its not like Harris can't learn to take a snap between center.

shite there are kids who come out of all sorts of weird systems in high school and make the transition fine.

How many high schools do you think run the 3-4, but that doesn't stop kids from converting in that system.

It just takes longer for a QB. but a lot of that is just adjustment.
