so the fact that the Saints won the Super Bowl in 2009 which was the highest run percentage of any year under Brees/Payton means nothing to you?

you don't understand football. Also - the run helps set up the pass and makes it easier. Brees and Payton love the PA fake and it works best when teams really believe you might run the ball.

It does. That we were winning a lot of games and so running the ball to run out the clock. I understand the run helps set up the pass. But don't act like you average 4.7 yards per run and 4.9 yards per pass. There is a massive different in yards per play. You can afford for your yards per pass play to go down if you have more of them.
