yeah...

It Degrees are great ways to figure out if the field "is for you" and determine what specialty you enjoy. You will learn a little about a lot, but not a lot about anything specific.

Kinda gives you the foundation to be able to get certifications.

I learned I enjoyed sql, network engineering, sys admin, and info sec. I also determined I hated programming/Web dev

As someone who places people in IT jobs and reviews resumes for a living... you guys don't know what you're talking about.

Certifications are only important/required in a FEW positions.

As for experience, you're either "junior" from 0-4 years, 5+ years CAN be a "senior" depending on the company with the reqs.

You either choose one direction and stick with it and try your luck at finding companies that are looking for what you have (duh) or you get a little bit of everything and go for 'full stack' experience.

OP, I'm not kidding... email me and I may be able to help you with your search. I can think of several IT firms in BR/St. Francisville/Laffy/NOLA/Hammond/North Shore

Not loving HTML right now. I've only been doing it in Notepad though. Dreamweaver is a beautiful thing.
