I don't know, but I know Hulk fights Iron Man. Is there any disputing this?
Seeing as no one but Whedon has seen the film, yeah there's disputing.
So then:

Second, why does this matter? The MCU is trying to reflect the Silver Age of Comics. A loose reality, fun tone, flexible levels of power and a need for a healthy suspension of disbelief. It works.
Third, you realize that it isn't Iron Man vs. Hulk...
It's Hulkbuster vs. Hulk. An armor built for one purpose: to stand up to the Hulk.
Add that suspension of disbelief and it's all perfectly acceptable.

Are you saying there's a chance we don't see Iron Man fight Hulk in his "Hulkbuster" gear. They showed footage at Comic Con.
ETA: Maybe Superman and Batman won't fight either.

Why does it matter whether or not we get the footage, I did ask questions following that. We shouldn't be arguing about whether or not we get the footage, but if we do, X.
Again, why does it matter if Iron Man fights Hulk?

You are right. But if they do, what should happen?
If they don't, we don't have to worry about the question.

OP asked how Batman would be able to fight Superman. I would ask the same question about Iron Man and Hulk. We don't know. We don't know how either fight will go down.

Why does Iron Man fighting Hulk matter at all concerning Batman fighting Superman?

A highly powerful superhero fighting a human in armor. Can you tell which fight I'm referring to?

I think the point is both companies pull this stunt. Folks that don't know comics don't care. Folks that know comics call it out.

TONS of comics have superhuman strength entities fighting humans.

They overdid it with the special effects and I am really not interested in someone having a pocket full of kryptonite to neutralize him.
You think a weakness of a superhero can only be of the physical nature?

Yes I do. You're being way too reductive on this one, see many posts ago:
quote:
Just like everything else, these are two different films, with two different tones. Hulk and Thor work in Avengers perfectly fine. But just because they work there, doesn't mean a similarly powerful hero works in a completely different film with completely different goals.

Iron Man vs. Hulk is fine. Iron Man has already been hit by Mjlonir a couple of times. And that's ok. Just assume the armor is some kind of near-admantium composite. Done.

I agree and it makes for great stories. But as you tried to demonstrate, DC does it and Marvel fans jump all over it. Marvel does it and DC fans jump all over it.
Both companies do it because it canals for interesting stories.

quote:Oh no. I have no problem with either doing it. I find it interesting. I enjoy rooting for the underdogs. What bigger underdog than a human against a superhuman. Love Avengers. Can't wait to see the second one. Can't wait to see Hulk fight Iron Man. I also can't wait to see Batman fight Superman.

I wonder if Tony Stark makes Ultron out of admantium too.

But it doesn't matter in the MCU, because disbelief and flimsy rules. It allows the movie to be more fun than serious. MoS was trying to be way more real which means everything has much more defined consequences. There's nothing on Earth that can withstand Superman. It's that simple.
That's what the OP is talking about.

The the books, Ultron is made of adamantium. At least the later versions were.
