re: How much does a funeral cost?

My only experience was with my FIL. He had a plot already and some 10K burial/life ins policy. I sat down with my Wife, MIL, and Funeral Lady. I kept quite while wife and MIL picked out what they wanted. The funeral lady was steering them to certain items so as to get that bill as close as possible to 10K. I told her just because there is 10K in insurance we didn't have to spend it all on the funeral. She gave me a look that indicated she wished she was planning my funeral. You got to watch those funeral folks some of them are some greedy bastards that will take advantage of grieving family.
