I've worked in Turkey and I found the Turks to be very two-faced, almost untrustworthy to deal with. It's a very strange culture when it comes to keeping a commitment.

I've worked extensively with the Chinese, they are exactly the same way.

Which begs the question; who would you trust more to make a firm commitment; a Turk or someone in the Obama administration?

For some reason its a culture that cant say no. I think they find it disrespectful to admit that cant or dont want to do something. It is a pride issue more than anything. It is just outright lying in most cases, but they just dont see it like we do I guess. They sure know how to make shite difficult.
