throwing the ball into a lineman's back would not constitute illegal touching

Should have been called illegal touching becausethe pass hit an ineligible receiver.

He didn't fumble it. It hit a linemans leg when he went to spike it.

He aimed for the ground but missed it :/

LSU was scrambling to spike the ball?

What do you think, whistle britches? It's a pretty established recommendation that you spike the ball before the game is over when trying to stop the clock.

Did anyone notice that when AJ went to spike the ball against UF with a few seconds left he actually fumbled the ball.

That should never EVER happen.
Sincerely, Steve Walsh

Also, most people don't realize how the Cal Bears were able to return that famous kickoff for a TD against Stanford in 1982. It's because Elway called timeout for the go ahead field goal too soon and left too much time on the clock. Jennings spiked it too soon. There shouldn't have been a kickoff. It turned out ok this time but it's more clock management snafus by the coaches/team. Not complaining, just a point of interest.

Once they put 10 seconds back on the clock he could have just taken his time.

This.

Leaving time on the clock after our FG was dumb.

did you at least pause to think why we were scrambling to spike the fricking thing in the first place?

Yeah because the florida player was holding our player down. Should have stopped the clock and moved the ball 5 yards. Instead they just set the clock back.

Oh, ok, problem solved...thanks for pointing that out. But before you typed that, did you at least pause to think why we were scrambling to spike the fricking thing in the first place?

Who cares who recovered it! We had no timeouts left cause we spent one trying to figure out how to sneak a 12th man into the huddle without the refs noticing.
Wasn't it UF that got called for 12 men right after a timeout?

Nah. I loved it. It was a slow death for the Gaytor fans and the Florida players and coaches to have to watch LSU celebrate and know they had to endure another 5 minutes of doom and despair.
