This was the worst episode of the season and I was still cracking up most of the time. If the quality of the first 4 episodes continues the rest of the way, I think that this season of South Park will be the best season of any comedy ever. That Stone/Parker have made almost 250 episodes of the show and it's better than ever is mind blowing. Their sharing my politics makes it even better.

Only semi-downside of the episode is that, after having some legit continuity thus far, this episode only had the brief Lorde reference. Not that I want them to force it, just a minor nitpick.

So far this season, the Lorde/Ciss episode is flirting with my favorite of all time, Redskins was in the top 15 range, and this episode and the gluten episode were both above average.

And this.

The continuity was a little off last night (as in it wasn't really referenced at all aside from the Lorde thing), but all in all I enjoyed the episode. I'm a huge fan of Nathan and Mimsie, and the whole Uber thing was solid. Also loved the throwback to the Wacky Races thing. Loved that Dick Dasterdly and Muttley were on it. And the pic of the Looney Tunes thugs on Nathan's wall was a nice touch as well.

Also loved how everything Mimsie said was spot on truth and he kept getting slapped and ignored. Hilarious. And the dude who was talking about how long he had his "handi cap" made me laugh out loud for real.

Matthew McConaughey over and over was good. And the cabbies breaking Timmy's legs to teach him a lesson was great. Also loved how Nathan and Timmy's conversations only consisted of Timmy saying "Timmy."

And I'm always down when they have the Hummer salesman dude on.

Recency bias much? I've enjoyed the heck out of the season so far too, but man you are putting the cart way before the horse here and only setting yourself up to be disappointed with a statement like that.

Besides, I think time and reflection is needed before any season can reach that sort of rarified air distinction. You need to see how the episodes hold up on repeated viewings and years after they originally air to truly judge their place in any sort of pantheon for great television.

That's absurd. This season couldn't hold a candle to seasons 1-10. If South Park never existed until this season we have right now, I wouldn't even watch it. The only reason I continue to watch is because I pray each week that they return to greatness.

This season has been a massive let down.
