I dont know why we dont still do this. We always have in the past up until last year....none of our tackles have been very productive so at least.just rotate them and keep them fresh....if any of them are going to produce its more likely if they arent worn out.

I was listening and didn't know who it was at first. Was saying to myself, man this guy is sharp...really well spoken and positive. Then I realized it was Mullen.

Right. A fresh Gilmore or Bain has to be better than a tired LaCouture. Unless Gilmore and Bain are really that bad.
Rotating DTs was common practice under Les. IDK what the hell the coaching staff are thinking in terms of the DL this year.

Mullen is a really good coach and if he goes to Florida that would be bad for us. He has a top 5 team at State, just think about that for a sec.

Their DL rotation may have helped their Conference games with LSU and A&M.
If you look at their two Conference games only they are 4th and LSU is last in the SEC West.
But overall, they are last in the SEC West in defense, and 3rd in offense.
They are averaging the most defensive plays per game: 80, 93 versus A&M.

This is the make up of their team. Their offensive line has a good bit of seniors as well. Miss St may win 10 games this year, but next year will lose at least 13-18 players along with the best player they have ever had in their history. I believe Mullen will go to Florida too. They will suck again. This year the very very rare exception to state.

He is lying or you heard it wrong. They are averaging 80 defensive plays per game, 93 versus A&M. They are 13th in the SEC in Defense and 3rd in Offense. They simply outscore their opponents. Please correct your title. LSU in the good ole days when there was no up tempo, say 2011, avg around 65-70 plays on defense. I guess if you went 40 yrs back and the games were really slow you might get down to fewer defensive plays.
He wasn't talking about the total Defensive plays... He was talking about a single defensive lineman ya rim job.

I really believe that state and ole piss are teams that are having all time climaxes. Both will return to normal next year. Book it.

no, it sounds like he has a qb that can convert on third down and keep the ball away from the opponent....do you guys EVER question the reason why on things, instead of just assuming the worst?

this is true...hell, they may return to normal before this year is over....my guess is that one of them has at least 3 losses, which is still a great year for either of them.
But, our fans are miserable for the most part, and can't see that this is a once in fifty year thing for those two programs...State has 2 or 3 players that make all the difference, kind of like Auburn in 2010......Ole Miss had ONE class, and honestly, the jury is still out on this team more than State...imo.

Yep...but if I had to pick one of the Mississippi schools to do well, it would be State. It's hard to be happy for Ole Miss with their arrogance over their last 50 years of excellence.

Either way, I'm happy for you guys. If LSU can't win it, I'd rather MSU win it. However, you have to know this is a once in a decade or more run....it's not like some program building year. Not busting bubbles, just saying I hope you really enjoy it....and I hope you whip Auburn's arse tomorrow.
