If you need Baltimore advice, start another thread and I'll tell you everything you need to know. It's an awesome city if you know what you're doing
You can derail this one a bit, no big deal.

It's a fun city with pro baseball and football, decent music scene, good food, just a short train ride from D.C., within driving or train riding distance from NYC and Philly. If you stay out of the bad areas, it's a great place to live. One of my uncles lives out there as does one of my cousins, plus some other friends. Cool spot.

people get off work at 5 freaking o'clock & all seem to be on the road at the same time. By 6, all gone. Weird man.
So the opposite of Baton Rouge where i grew up?

It really is, from what I have seen. It's just the job, I can't tell if it would be good to keep it or not. Lack of upward mobility is a problem, few benefits, etc. Honestly, I'd probably like Baltimore more than Utah, but not sure if the job is good enough to move for.

I go up there a lot now, as my in-laws have a home in Park City and that's where my wife grew up. I can probably get her in here to give more comments, but I know that there are many people that live in Park City and make the commute down to SLC. It's about a 25 minute ride, and it's a really scenic drive. Could be a lot worse.
If I were to move to the SLC area, I would probably go this route. I love the small town feel of Park City, the festivals, the outdoor activities, the fantastic summer weather, and of course, the wintersports. Something to consider.

My drive would be to South SLC, Holladay/Cottonwood area. Might increase the drive a bit.
But thanks for the tips.

I rep a business located in SLC. I ve been a dozen times in the last two years for weeks at a time. I love the place ,super clean, variety of activities second to none. I was able to find the gritty spots if thats something you require.
