Here is my point...
Wisconsin, we came out and totally dominated in the first half only to win in the second half.
if the players had been prepared, we should have played as well in the first half as in the second.
..obviously, the talent was there enough for us to win
Miss St scored 31 of the 34 in the first 3 quarters
now comes Auburn..
in the 3rd quarter, we held them to 3 pts and 7 pts in the 4th..
so, once again, we did not show up in the first half...we were able to play w/ the no. 2 team in the country....yes, they scored 10 and we scored 0 in the second half..but that's not where we were humiliated
but it seems that are coaches are not preparing players to go into this games...it's like the coaches are so arrogant that they feel that they "can pull it out", rather than work and prepare for each opponent and the respective matchups.
Wisconsin, Miss St and Auburn came prepared FOR LSU, not just to play their style of football, but TO PLAY LSU SPECIFICALLY
FWIW

wouldn't making adjustments at half-time, be a sign of good coaching

our qb went 3/14. end of story. will never win like that.
here is something for you as well.

Fowler said the practices leading up to the game told the story as Alabama wasn’t as sharp as it needed to be going into a game against a tough Ole Miss team. And Fowler said the lackadaisical practices aren’t uncharacteristic, because "it happens in practice all the time."

Yeah but the haters are convinced we run two te formation toss dives the entire game.

preparing for a team specifically...would be a better sign.
they may still have to adjust at half time...but that does not prevent them from having a good game plan

Thought we actually played pretty well the first quarter and a half against Auburn, we just could not execute a pass play due to a true frosh qb.
We were half-way decent qb play from being able to drive the ball on Auburn. We were getting 7-8 yards a pop nearly every first down running the ball.
On defense, we stoned them on first down. Auburn executed a well defended long pass play and a double-reverse trick pass to get up 17-0. It snowballed from there and at 24-7 we lost focus.
Guys, we are young.

I fully agree - again, too much talent on the team to have been beaten in such a way.

or the other team played better?

at 24-7 down, harris threw 5 incomplete passes in a row. this was in the 2nd quarter. He threw five, because we got a first down on a penalty in case someone thought my math was off.

Sometimes seems complacent, unmotivated - coaches, team.

Malzahn let off the gas in the second half and started burning clock. Also some players that screwed up in first half did not return in second half

What would you have done? They tried to protect the true frosh qb you guys booed the other guy out the stadium for. he shat the bed. plain and simple. The staff doesnt game plan your qb throwing the ball into the 3rd row when the receiver is wide open with no one around him.

Sometimes, but in Les' case it's usually to little too late. We were down 24-7 and Harris had only thrown 3 passes. I'm not saying we would have won the game, but why do we always have to put ourselves in a hole before Les realizes a change needs to be made? The man has no foresight.

I do not make $ 4MM a year to make sure my players are ready to play...they do.
...but one thing I never would have done..ois to announce a week ahead of time that Harris would start. I would still said that Jennings was a starter (even if I intended to play Harris the rest of the game), why give information and time to prepare to the other team.

Magic dust, we must find the magic dust.
Maybe I am crazy, but I still think we can get some good offensive performances out of this team.
Defense, I am not too sure.

So let the man that does make that money do his Job.
Not you, but for 10 years people bitch and moan that Les lies and doesnt tell the fans what they want to hear. He finally does and now he gets shat on. he cant win no matter what with portions of the fanbase. and this has nothing to do with this loss.
Ill just let you know something, i see coaches that make more than Les lose. no matter how this situation plays out, we will have to shell out the cash to get a good replacement whether that is now, or 10 years from now. that is just the market. So when the next coach cost $6 million, what are we going to say after a loss?

If we can fix the OL, we have a good chance...
like you, the D is much harder to fix

Of all the glaring deficits this team has, this is the ONE thing you think would make a difference. #sneakin

It makes NO difference, I don't care if it is a charity coach or a 8 mm dollar one, I just want the Tigers to win, which we have done. This team needs improvement, Miles has earned the right to get them playing better without everyone bitching constantly.

I am with you ... but he is not doing it this year.
Understanding that today's headcoach is as much a CEO as a headcoach ..
I think he probably failed to supervise, or just put too much trust on GRIMES and CHAVIS..
if the OL was working and the D was working,
the QB situation would not be as critical.
The problem is that job of supervising falls squarely on Miles.
