Twitter on Tuesday filed suit against the FBI and the Justice Department, seeking the ability to release detailed information on government surveillance of Twitter users.
Twitter is asking a judge for permission to publish its full transparency report, including the number of so-called “national security letters” and Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act orders that it receives. Twitter claims that restrictions on its ability to speak about government surveillance requests are unconstitutional under the First Amendment.

If it's the government doing something that isn't national security related (huge gray area here) they absolutely should.
People need to take charge of this growing trend. It's been growing for millenia and since the advent of government entities. But for a country that has prided itself on being different and above the gray, our federal government has grown beyond even a scope that the founding fathers thought possible IMO.

Hope Twitter wins.
Our forefathers would be so disappointed in the state of our country right now.

This.
Dissent is healthy and needed to keep the gov't in check along with excercising our voting rights.

The government stalks us in so many other ways, I just don't see this making much of a dent. People already know about so much, but there doesn't seem to be much outrage.
