Yeah, it was a little underwhelming. The final battle scene wasn't near as good as it was hyped up to be (but the special effects part of it was actually pretty darn good for a tv show).

I think some are getting a little too caught up in the lack of "realism" with it though. Yeah in real life the police could've just sniped Cold & Heatwave, and yeah a man that can break the sound barrier should've been able to disarm them pretty easily. But this is comic book put on the small screen. Sometimes you have to suspend your disbelief when dealing with some of this stuff. Heck in the comics Flash has problems with a guy that throws boomerangs for goodness sakes. And the Flash in this show is still trying to figure out how to best use his abilities when battling different foes.

So yeah the outcome of the final battle was a underwhelming (as was the over all episode), and yeah two guys holding suped up guns should've (in reality) been easier to take down, but it is a comic based tv show where reality should be suspended to some extent. And the special effect were still pretty impressive for a tv show on CW.

I agree with everyone saying that the episode was corny as hell.

The villains sucked.

I dont have a problem suspending belief for this show, but it just did seem very well thought out. If Cap Cold would have built something that added the cold effect as a shield around is body or a certain area around his person it would have been much better, and the cross streams thing would make more sense.
