Was anybody else really underwhelmed with this episode? Nothing really interesting happened.

eta: Barry catching the missle and throwing it back was pretty cool.

worst episode of the series so far. Captain Cold and Fire guy were terrible. Full of corny one liners.

For those of you that can't handle Barry being shot by cold guns and heat guns when he should be fast enough to dismantle anyone instantly...

It's the nature of the character. Always has been.

Prepare yourselves, the Trickster is on his way, and Barry will get slapped with rubber chickens and squirted with joke shop flowers.

It's a comic book show.

Yeah, it was a little underwhelming. The final battle scene wasn't near as good as it was hyped up to be (but the special effects part of it was actually pretty darn good for a tv show).

I think some are getting a little too caught up in the lack of "realism" with it though. Yeah in real life the police could've just sniped Cold & Heatwave, and yeah a man that can break the sound barrier should've been able to disarm them pretty easily. But this is comic book put on the small screen. Sometimes you have to suspend your disbelief when dealing with some of this stuff. Heck in the comics Flash has problems with a guy that throws boomerangs for goodness sakes. And the Flash in this show is still trying to figure out how to best use his abilities when battling different foes.

So yeah the outcome of the final battle was a underwhelming (as was the over all episode), and yeah two guys holding suped up guns should've (in reality) been easier to take down, but it is a comic based tv show where reality should be suspended to some extent. And the special effect were still pretty impressive for a tv show on CW.
