If we won those games they would have been 11-1 and 9-3. Im saying inferior because LSU has the most talented team in the country. Fans once told me Les was handed the most talented team in the country in 2005. So why was it in 2005 and not in 2004? was it those 8 commitments Saban had that turned 04 from 3rd best to the best in 05.
You do realize that the teams in 2005, 2006, and 2007 were likely the most talented in the country based on experienced players. Are you telling me JR in his RS Freshman year is as good as in 05 and 06, or Flynn as talented in 04 as in 08?
So even with a QB carousel including freshmen, LSU manage not to lose more than 3 games and had a 6-2 SEC record not 3-5.

I do recognize likely. The others being osu and uf. Two teams we played. But my question is why weren't we in 2004 with a Sr qb. With sabans defense he recruited and coached. Or why not in 2002 after bringing in the #1 class relying on a qb that played pro baseball and no one behind him when he got hurt. Surely that va tech team coulnt have been that more talented than LSU.
