17 runs & 3 passes in the first 20 playes...how many 1st downs?

ain...you keep saying this as if you are some genius that knows more about coaching than our coaching staff. OK expert, how many of those runs were a result of BH taking off too early, instead of remaining in the pocket and passing. BTW, from the results of his passing, they were probably wise to run the ball.
We ran the ball on 3rd down too. I understand the goal was to insulate Harris using the running game, however it should have been obvious much sooner that our defense couldnt hold.
after the first series where we went 3 and out, and gave up the FG, i told my wife if they keep playing that conservative on offense, its going tobe 0-17 in a heartbeat.
10 min later i was proven right.

The hope was that Harris would be able to pass some. Only the first possession had 3 straight run attempts (with one fumbled snap and one run out of the spread formation). Exactly the way some of the rant said the game should open to help settle him down in the game. It didn't work.
The second possession in diamond formation involved one run to Magee; one overthrown short pass; and another run out of the spread.
The third possession toss-dive for 9 yards; busted play Harris runs right; false start on 3rd & 3; 3rd & 8 pass play from spread Harris leaves pocket prematurely and runs resulting in a loss.

I was thinking the same thing. On the first drive, when we ran on third and 7, and went 3 and out, my hopes dimmed. Same old Miles.
I wonder if Harris might not have been so rattled if Miles had shown the confidence in him to come out throwing. We'll never know.
