Is it me or does it seem like LSU isn't recruiting enough LBs? Next year we'll have most of our LBs as seniors...shouldn't we be recruiting 2-3 this year so they can be developed a little more 2 years from now? We're kinda having a problem now with LB development...

It's also possible Beckwith leaves early next year and then we're left with Garrett and ???

We have 15 offers out to linebackers, doesn't look like they are all that interested though

Chief is not looking like a guy LBers want to play for at this point. He's only developed one good to great linebacker in quite a while and he got drafted in the 2nd round.

From Linebackers he's recruited at LSU since 2009, he's developed 2 into draft picks (Minter and Barrow) and likely Alexander from this class. He's just not as big a guru as most think at the position, but hits lightning in a bottle from time to time.

LSU needs to sign Prevost or K.Jackson from Haynesville. LINK

The entire front 7 needs an infusion of talent.

I think most college teams try and take 1-2 qb 2-3 wr 4-5 ol 4-5 dl 2-3 lb 4-5 dB and 1 kicker, 1-2 rb.

Yes our linebackers are not really SEC material. Beckwith and Alexander are the only really physically talented guys out there. Hopefully, Garrett comes through next year. I would look at moving Corey Thompson to LB; he is physical and is bigger than some of our backers. We might need to go the JUCO route here.
