MULTIPLE Saints are in decline

Was very clear watching the game yesterday.
It seems both guards are trending downward in production. Streif is old but still a decent RT and the center spot seems a bit up in the air.

As to the LB corp?
Heads need to roll.
Whether its coaches scouts or the coffee this unit completely blows.
Please flush the stink CSP.
Watching the LB's try and blitz is liking watching shalee 2.0. Please stop.

OP makes some valid and great points. To that...

quote:

MULTIPLE Saints are in decline

this is the truth.

Brees is declining, but he is still a top 10 QB in the league. I think we have one to maybe 2 legitimate years left in him. He's resembling Favre at his career's end: productive with lots of bad mistakes (well really that could be Favre's entire career).

The rest that are declining:

Colston (he's done)
Evans (I think he hasn't been very good the last 2 years)
Grubs
Lofton (though I've never considered him any good)
Payton (yes, that one. he is becoming a caricature of himself at this point)

The worst part about this season is that our D-Line have been complete busts. I think they believed their off-season hype and have shown up completely unfocused and out of sync. They arrive on Sundays expecting to play great but not working to actually do so. This is concerning and a direct reflection of poor coaching.
