It is absolutely true. See above post. The developer is still in command, dictator if you will. Guess all we can do is wait until he gives the HOA to the residents.

Sorry, I see that you're in Carriagewood, and the developer still has the HOA.
Have you (and your fellow homeowners) discussed taking over the HOA from the developer?
1. He has no desire to run your HOA, he is doing it to maintain the value until he gets out and you're willing to take ownership.
2. He certainly has no desire to run your HOA for free, so your cost may be lower when you do it yourself.
