man, that is cool as hell, king....

when I come upon an old house like that, I often think of the whole lifetimes that folks spent there...often a few generations were born and died in the same rooms with a whole lifteime of experiences in between...lots of your family's history likely happened there...

also, first time I have seen wild pears....

It's really cool thinking about that stuff. I do the same.

The wild pears taste like absolute crap. At first taste it tastes just like a store bought pear. The after taste is very very bitter. Apparently the deer love them though.

And now I'm living in him and my maw maw's house. It's truly surreal.

I'm very lucky.

Sounds like an awesome day KR.

I hunted some public land in NWLA this morning with a padnuh. Killed 7 (that Kershaw skinning knife is the tits by the way):

One hung one to his meal:

We also caught a live woodduck that had a broken wing, but let it go. We were going to bring it to a local refuge but were unsure of the law regarding transporting live ducks during hunting season.

We found the woodie on this awesome looking slough and jumped up another 2 dozen:

Good day all around.

KR, I hunt around our homestead. The house is gone many a years ago, but one can still find bricks and even see were there are rows thru the woods that was once cleared fields. That homestead was put in place back in the late 1700's.

Dont suppose you'd be interested in doing something hunting oriented the day after my brothers wedding?

I invited him (they don't leave for the honeymoon till that Sunday night anyway) but he bailed like usual. LAME
