Touchdowns are pretty hard to predict. I like ppr leagues much better and find the predictions to be better. It is impossible to be accurate in these predictions but I find yahoo pretty good at doing the task. There are obviously exceptions to the rule but I have yet to see a team that has the lowest projections most weeks win a league.

Exactly this. I think at some point, they'll have very little use. But in getting my feet wet, I probably give them more of a look than fantasy vets.

so you're saying yahoo's is superior? That's what I took from it. Everything is relative so you figure it out...if that's the case though, how the hell does reggie bush have 19 points

Put as much faith in any fantasy projections as you would with Miss Cleo predicting your future.

I am not saying either is superior. Espn just tries to hit the nail on the head, which can be touchdown dependent even if the yardage prediction is close. Yahoo tries to hit the average. I have no idea which one is more accurate.

Ignore projections, IMO.

Look at player rankings on a website like Fantasypros.com

Briliant!

I google fantasy rankings, and found that site earlier today, been tinkering half my day at work with it.

It's awesome!

fantasypros is a great site, they're draft simulator is legit great. If you want to reach to ensure you get a guy, you know how high you have to do it, by the time the draft comes, you feel like you're getting steal after steal because you've been drafting against that fricking computer

Go off what you observe during games, your own knowledge, and then if you HAVE to, look at projections. 70% are probably accurate but 30-40% are grossly over inflated. The other 30% is wrong (mostly kicker and defense projections).

It's just so tough reading the comments, can't stand the layout.

But yea, I know it's become the go to place for info. I'll give it a shot.

just use them as an extra source or guideline, by no means ever base a final decision off them

In my PPR league last year, only 7 WRs averaged more than 19 points per game last year
Gordon (you can replace him with Julio for this year)
Mega
Marshall
Dez
Aj
Antonio
DT88

Those are the elite WR's in the league that you can count on to average 20/game, 7 of them.
Antonio and Julio have 3 each in their first 4 games, the other 5 guys have 6 combined so far and have been under performing thus far.

They will all finish in the top 10, with Jordy likely to join them and a few others close behind.

This week they have 16 WR's projected 19 or higher. Almost every week they have close to 20 WR's projeted 19 or higher.
Last week they projected 13 of them scoring 19 or more. 2 of those scored 19 or more.
The week before, they projected 18 to score 19 or more, 3 of those projected players scored 19 or more.

They have 7 RB's projected 19 or higher this week. Only 3 averaged that last year, in my ppr league.

Long story short, ESPN's projections are retarded and i pay very little attention to them.
They act as if every TE will do well against Seattle's defense b/c Gates caught 3 TDs against them and Julius Thomas caught 2 this year.

read Rotoworld's target watch and matchups and make the decision that gives you the greatest odds.
