Not positive. But I believe no matter what combination was in, Asik was the only guy not hedging.
Atlanta has pick and pop shooters all over the place so they got some wide open looks out of it. Though they didn't necessarily burn us there. Most of their 3s came with solid ball movement.
There was a time when Davis hedged and his man tried to cut to the basket. Asik made a great rotation, shut the paint down and forced them to kick it back out and start over. Simple play but stuff we haven't seen in a while. Davis and Asik look really good together.
Other notes: Jrue started off slow, but really finished strong, playing aggressive and looking for his shot. Anderson hasn't missed a beat offensively. Jimmer looks good. Withey looks the same, meh.
At one point our defense was struggling, so Monty pulled the Rivers/Jimmer duo and put in Russ Smith, Jrue, and EG together. Smith proceeds to destroy Shelvin Mack, almost forcing a back court and making Mack throw up a wild shot at the end of the shot clock. His defense could get him on the court. With that said, Monty had to chew him out later when he disregarded a play Monty called and tried to drive to the rim instead. Literally in the middle of his drive Monty calls a timeout to chew him out.
We're taking lots of 3s. Especially that second unit.
The SF spot looks like a disaster, without Tyreke. Darius Miller, meh. Babbitt looked ok game 1, couldn't buy a basket game 2. John Salmons doesn't look like an NBA player.
