the correct answer it to cut off nonessential travel to that region. Then if you do have to go to that region a month long isolation period.

Why a month? Symptoms take 10 days to appear, so 2 weeks would be fine.
HOWEVER, IT IS NOT CONTAGIOUS IF THERE ARE NO SYMPTOMS! Get symptoms, go to the hospital.
