they can have take home vehicles if the live ebr parish, i believe.
its part of their compensation, you know they don't get paid a lot, right?

I see them in other parishes. I.E Livingston.

If so, they should be taxed on this income, which I doubt they do.

Examples of this are car salesmen that get demos and apartment employees that get "free" apartments. They have to pay income tax on these benefits and so should cops. If BRPD does pay income tax on this income, then good for them.
