I called today to see if there was progress in the negotiations and if they would offer me a discount. They proceeded to tell me that I should research the new channels they added bc they should "surely" make up for the channels I lost. No discount offered.
frick them.
Direct TV will be hooking me up later this week

Go look at their responses to people on their Facebook page making complaints.
They either:
A) Blame this all on Viacom
B) Say that people should give the channels they added a chance and that people will see they are better alternatives
They come off as pompous assholes who are basically not apologizing to their customers for the inconvenience. I've never experienced anything like this. It wouldn't surprise me if they never have Viacom ever again unless they see a tremendous drop in subscribers over the next week or two.

Viacom's full page newspaper ad says Suddenlink has "Unreliable Products" and "Poor Customer Service " and at the same time wishes to reach an agreement. Hilarious. I hope they never come back. Of course they will, just like every other dispute like this. Viacom can DIAF.

I've had plenty of problems with channels that I pay for not working. Every time I call SL to ask them to send out a technician they pitch me on the home phone. Every time I tell them that I'm talking to them because their shite is broken so why the hell would I want more of their shite?
Also, would love to watch FXX (even though it is no replacement for Comedy Central), unfortunately it doesn't work for me (channel unavailable), so I guess I'll have to call out a technician....again. And listen to them pitch their broken services to me....again.
I pay them $137 a month and I can't even watch the Daily Show.

SL took over for Cox here. Sooooo much better. I have only had issues with them when squirrels chew lines which isn't their fault anyway. Other than that, perfect service.
