There is no rational explanation behind the early voting being that long. It should be a week tops with the opportunity to request mail in ballots.
How about that THE PEOPLE want it and have shown that by the increase in early voting. Or is that a threat to democracy.
What is the justification for a week? What reason do you have to limit it to a week? Why did Mitt invest so heavily in early voting mobilization? You do realize historically early voting favors republicans? Hmm. Wonder why they would want to change things now.
The history of our country is a slow, inexorable march to universal participation. You can continue the fight against it, but like gay marriage, drug reform, etc. you are going to lose.

Why do you Think black people are too stupid to vote within 28 days? Why do you hate black people so much?

You still haven't explained:
1) How having only 28 days is somehow an insurmountable obstacle to universal participation, so grave as to be a violation of fundamental constitutional rights; and
2) Why 35 days is sufficient to give everyone a fair opportunity to participate if they're so inclined.

What reason do you have to limit it to a week?
quote:Probably because he believed it would suppress voter turnout, which I don't believe would happen.
Why did Mitt invest so heavily in early voting mobilization?
quote:I don't care. The Republican Party is a terrible party.
You do realize historically early voting favors republicans?
quote:If I'm going to be honest here, I truly do want less people to vote.

I have a problem with the large number of mentally inept individuals being led to both parties.
There should be some IQ-like requirement. It would reduce the numbers of voting Republicans and Democrats significantly.

From someone who lives overseas and already voted, I get my ballot emailed to me and I can check the receipt status of it on the LA SOS site. So your argument here is BS

Honestly, link? I'd be interested to see how much voter turnout is increased by how much further we extend early voting.

Who knows. Maybe costs? You have to admit if you can't find time to vote in 28 days prior to the election, how would adding 1 week help? This argument can be said in reverse as well. At some point though you have to admit, enough days are enough days regardless of which political party it helps

Honestly please tell me how this is stopping people from voting.
