If/when I buy, I will be long....or at least until the ridiculous dividend goes away.
I missed the boat when it was $22.50 this morning so I will likely sit back and hope we have a couple more down days in the market. I want it around $22.50 now that I missed out on that number

I was reading an article on Seeking Alpha this morning suggesting that the dividend should be cut in half.
Article here

The market is basically pricing in a dividend cut given the curent yield of 17.5%. Frankly, I believe it would be in the best interest of SDRL shareholders for management to cut the dividend by at least 50%. A 50% cut would still leave investors with a juicy 8.75% yield, but it would save the company about $900 million. Seadrill can use these savings to fund part of its growth plan and limit the amount of debt it has to issue. Honestly, I think an elimination of the dividend would be best, but that would probably outrage shareholders. With the firm already highly levered, any effort to limit incremental debt is a wise one. Unfortunately, it does not seem that management wants to alter its financially aggressive policy.

What's your reasoning for wanting to get in at 22.5?
