Isn't grimes' scheme a zone blocking one?

Zone blocking schemes are good for read option/pistol/spread offenses aren't they? Why would Miles bring in a guy who's system doesn't fit what the teams trying to do?

Great point, add to it he recruited two QBs who primarly played out of the shotgun in HS and are used to reading defenses while back away from center

When miles hired Grimes I didn't look into it much. I know that the AU fans on the SECR kept saying that it was a bad hire, but didn't pay much attention to it.

Looking at his background I'm starting to wonder why miles even considered him. Grimes' system doesn't fit what miles or Cameron want to do, at all. It makes zero sense to me at this point unless miles and cam want to begin the transition to a spread/pistol offense, which I seriously doubt.
