Damn. Sorry to hear that really happened. Here is the story after I researched because I wasn't sure you were telling the truth. Prayers to you brother.
ANDERSON, AL (WAFF) -
Two women were killed in an overnight crash in Lauderdale County.
Anderson and Rogersville Volunteer Fire Departments responded to a single vehicle wreck on Highway 207, just north of Anderson at approximately 11:30 p.m Thursday.
Officials said the driver, Kristy Parker, and the passenger, Charity Stephens, were traveling south when they lost control, left the road and went down a 30 to 40 foot embankment.
One of the the women was ejected from the car and one was entrapped. Both women, mother and daughter, died at the scene.
It is the second time in a matter of weeks this family has been involved in a death on this exact stretch of road. The wreck happened about 50 to 100 feet away from a recent wreck involving cyclists.
Kristy's husband, Charity's stepfather, hit two cyclists, killing one, earlier this month.
Anderson volunteer firefighters responded to both wrecks.
"This morning when I heard the name, the first thing I thought - because I knew them - I said, 'That's his wife,'" recalled Rogersville Police Chief Terry Holden. "I didn't realize who his stepdaughter was, but his stepdaughter was with him also."
We stopped by the family's business. It, too, is on Highway 207 and sits on the Alabama - Tennessee state line.
A sign on the front door says the business is closed to deal with death in the family and they'll reopen next week.
State Troopers are investigating at this time.
