Just a follow-up. I know have suggested V-Shop and German Auto. I just got off the phone with both.
Bill at V-shop said they don't do enough VW's and it wasn't worth his time looking up the parts and labor costs. German Auto also suggested another shop.

I've heard a friend mention using
Moberly's on pecue (near Jefferson). You could try them.
