I'm worried that we will have a lack of 3pt shooters on this squad.

I know Hornsby can hit from deep, but who else? I'm guessing Grey could as well, and I remember hearing that Epps has a nice outside shot.

We lost 2 of our best 3 pt shooters in Stringer and Sugar Shavon.

Martin can hit the 3 at a decent rate too.

I'd expect the 3pt shooting to come from Hornsby, Gray, and Martin. Martin got a little better as the year went on so hoping he can continue to improve his shot.

Darcy Malone hit 43% of his three's last year also.

In regards to Robinson starting at center, it would be the ideal. I mean the BIG 7 footer starting is what everyone wants right. But with a big front live already with Mickey swatting shots everywhere don't be surprised to see the out-of-shape frosh struggle out the gate. I mean I'd start the 7'1" 305 kid hoping to ready him for the end, but I see Odo, Malone, Epps, Mickey all taking turns at the 5 as we look for the magical best 5 to beat each team we compete with.

gray, quarterman
hornsby, quarterman
martin,quarterman
mickey, martin, epps
robinson, odo, epps

I believe he has lost a lot of weight since his 305 days (I think he was down to 275 last I heard from him personally) but I agree. I wasn't a huge fan of his HS film cause he looked slow, but I've heard coaches raving on him and obviously he was highly ranked out of school. They saw something I didn't.

I think Malone gets a legitimate shot to start if he can play defense because his offensive game is probably more advanced than Robinson.

Quarterman
He is the only one I think to challenge the original starting 5 you mentioned. There were lots of talk about him transferring out.

Yea. The dismissal of Hickey I think is what kept him on board. I believe Coach Jones wanted him to move to off guard and he wanted to play PG... He would have been 3rd string PG on this team if Hickey was still around.

I agree he is the most likely to nab a lot of PT from the non starters, but I'm still not fully sold on Robinson until I see him playing in a fast paced game. Like I said earlier, his film looks slow. If his transition to NCAA basketball is slowed, expect to see Malone or Odo take the job.
