If he's not blind Harris and beckwith will start period.
He basically just said Beckwith will start, but it's not hard to decipher what he's saying about Harris. The two situations are so similar. He talked about expectations for a position and the multifaceted things that play out over time... That's Les for "y'all haven't seen Harris fricking up the mental part in practice cause he's still young, we both know he's better but I have to keep playing the guy who knows what to do." Exact same attitude that kept Welter in last year, now Beckwith has developed. Hopefully Harris is on a faster timeline.

I agree with all of this.

Yeah I agree and took the same from his comments, but my only counter to that point of his is that BH would get up to speed a lot faster actually getting equal or majority reps in practice.

There is a damn good reason Miles closes the majority of practices AND why, when asked repeatedly early on about Harris has said, "he's competing -- he's 'coming on', etc."
Give the kid some time.... Johnny Football didn't play an f'king down his TRUE freshman year - didn't emerge until August of his second year in the system. Not saying Harris is Johnny Football -- just that he needs time to adjust to the college game. The "arm talent" (and I HATE that term) is obvious --- game managment skills will take a bit of time to work out. He'll get thee. Until then, I really hope Jennings shines.
