Such bullshite. That stadium was packed and loud during the game, and ready for a great game.
There was only one thing that killed the joy in the fanbase Saturday night: the performance of the team itself
Had LSU punched it in the NEZ early when they had it first and goal inside the 5, the stadium was ready. Instead, we have one of the worst 4th down calls I can recall, and then promptly give up a 98 yard drive in like 5 plays and instead of being tied we're down 14.
That shite has nothing to do with whether or not the tailgating atmosphere was raucous enough.

even getting a field goal there would have helped.
The turning point of that game, was the goal line stand and the 97 yard drive. Our Defense was playing well up to that point, MSU got an early score, but than we came back and got a couple coverage sacks. Our defense had some momentum at that point. If we got it to 7-3 we would still have some of that momentum. I think there is a chance our defense would have stepped up and made a stop. We get the ball back maybe drive and score again even if 3 points.
Our defense was playing well to start that drive, than Dak hit a back shoulder throw in tight coverage and than our CB got a couple steps behind on a receiver and before we could even realize they went up 14-0. After that I think our defense lost all confidence. Yes we were overmatched yes Miss State would have moved it on us anyway. But that 97 yard drive completely changed that game.
Note: i think there is a good chance the Hunter Fumble return TD could have given us the lead if we kicked a field goal instead of going for it on 4th.
