Nah, that was MSU making it hard for LSU. You can admit it and move on. Just a fun game.

Usually you attack a weakness. This coaching staff in their infinite wisdom, or arrogance, felt attacking their strength and ignoring their weakness would be a better tactic.

The two TDs for MSU right after we scored the fumble TD were all on LSU. D stalled them at a 3rd and long on consecutive drives and both plays ended in a TD. First was a horribly blown coverage and second was Prescott's long TD run straight through the hole of our D. Lack of execution on the defense really put us in a hole, and the offense did nothing to help out.

Really? Just them? Scoring 3 points as an offense past 3 quarters is OK with you?

In your opinion should the defense have held them to a shutout to not put any added pressure on the offense?

Well it is the defenses job to not let them score.

Let's just live through whatever" growing pains " we have to with Brandon Harris.
Jennings has played a lil better than I thought he would but...

Yes, that game reminded me of that game alot from a coaching stand point. Only thing different was that we actually scored against Moo St. No adjustments at half and no trying a different QB to try and get something started on offense. The Harris kid is clearly the right choice to go with right now. You can tell he is a way better passer and with some games under his belt he will be on his way. Of course we can see this but I guess our coach could'nt. The defense stunk in this game just like in that game too. I dont remember the last time we had so many runs up the middle against us for so many yards. That was an embarassment and yes the coaches lost this game clearly!

UUUHHH, because what he is saying is the truth and factual. It is piss poor coaching at its best. MSU gave up 400 passing to UAB and they have a great DL and best lineman in the country. What does Les do, pound it up the middle for 3.8 quarters for 3 points!!!

My question had nothing to do with football, but with CORFing. LINK

That's 5 points. That sends it to OT at home.

No it doesn't. If that happened, MSU would have simply kicked a field goal on that 4th quarter drive where they "went for it" on the 3 yard line to eat up clock.

We lose by 3.

If you think Jennings was the #1 reason for the loss, then you don't know football.

Reasons for the loss in order IMO:
1. Defensive tackle - we are just too young and weak here
2. Offensive personnel groupings - too much I formation with 1-2 te's
3. Offensive line inability to run block against even numbers and pick up a blitz
4. Secondary in single coverage - Ronald Martin got beat a couple times badly and other guys lost matchups against a mediocre miss st receiving corp.
5. Jennings - It is easy to say yank him after seeing Harris in the 4th quarter, but Harris was able to throw the ball in a wide open offense against prevent. Jennings has been successful in that against Arkansas and Wisconsin. I do think Harris should see a lot of reps this weekend and then make a decision before Auburn.

This ones on the defense period. Yeah the O struggled, but the D was bitch-slapped around by inferior talent up front for 4 quarters.

7 blockers cannot block 8 or 9 defenders....

We cannot keep trying to run 2 TE, I Formation power against 8 or 9 in the box. How many more 1 and 2 yard gains do we have to have before the coaches decide to quit doing.

Here's the real problem with that set of play calls.... we put our young QB in 2nd and 3rd and long situations, OVER and OVER.

Our interior defense did NOT hold up Saturday night. State ran the ball between the tackles quite a bit and got what they wanted.

And 4 straight runs up the middle on the goal line????

DJ Welter, I'm CERTAIN he tries his best but he's a real liability on the field. He is incapable of bringing a big hit, he's incapable of tackling bigger players, and despite what the coaches say, he's NOT always in the right place. Saturday night was the worst middle LB play I've seen. Period. Beckwith is more physically capable, but he's no Kevin Minter.

Prescott is good. He is. But anytime you give a "good" QB no pressure up front, he'll look even better. He's good in that he can move out of the pocket and buy time, and he had ALL DAY to move around in the pocket and find a comfortable spot from which to throw. On the busted coverage, because of the lack of real pressure and the lack of tackling, when he would escape the pocket and take off, early on, he gashed us with his legs. So the secondary decided to go tackle him, leaving their responsibility, the (receiver) open and THAT'S the "busted coverage". So, you can't expect a CB to guard a WR for more than 5-6 seconds. We should have the QB by then. And you can't really blame em for trying to stop Dak from gashing them on the ground. The secondary didn't play great, but they are the least of our problems...for a couple of reasons.

The biggest issue I saw was the Center position. Elliot Porter was abused. We finally met a real front 7 and he didn't perform well and allowed 2 sacks. La'el Collins is still very good, but we also have issues at left guard with Vadal Alexander.

Can't say it was ALL Mile's fault, but his let's play not to lose the game approach to offense isnt helping his cause...trying to protect a young QB from doing something to hurt the team's chances to win, is keeping LSU from being the best team they can be....open up the play book...
But, msu came out and beat the crap out of us, plain and simple...they won the battle of the LOS...and all the coaching will not fix a problem when you're on your butt watching the opposing players run by you...

I think we are pretty much saying the same thing here.

Sometimes we were trying to block against a stacked box, and sometimes we weren't. Either way those personnel groupings and play calls weren't working, just like against Wisconsin. The problem is we got behind too far this game before we made a change.

pitiful play calling. Running it up the gut made Miles look stupid.

I'm sick of people saying this crap. A bunch of sheep following Les and either too stupid or stubborn to admit that some changes need to be made! Then calling me and others out for being fired up after an UGLY loss to Miss State!

He is an average coach with no innovative ideas and is mired in big ten type football. We have been lucky enough to have superior talent.

The rehiring of Peveto is an example of his stubborness.

This team is just not very good. Look for at least 4 more losses, probably 5. A "down" year.
