Odd. You can count me as a native louisianian who thinks the PNW and NE has, overall better tasting oysters. To me, they generally have a lighter, more briny taste that I like. Gulf oysters taste heavier, warmer, and more earthy. That's my opinion.

...and I can't argue with the list either because she's discussing the "bars", not the quality of oysters from each area. Although I've enjoyed quite a few oysters at Felix's, I wouldn't put it up there with the other establishments listed.
