Anyone have one of these riding lawn mowers? Pros - cons? I am thinking of buying one, second hand.

Bought mine 3 years ago. 46 inch cut,21 HP?, I like it. Then again, I was coming from a 30 inch snapper. Has lots of power and has a really smooth cut.

I have the 46inch. Good mower. Never gave me any problems what-so-ever.

Not what they used to be. Neither is John Deere.

I've got a self-propelled Cub Cadet. It's a quality mower.Metal wheels and caster wheels up front. No plastic wheels like the Huskavarna(sp) that lasted 2 yrs.

Bought one at tractor supply grand opening back in 2007. 52" cut, 25 hp Kohler.
All I've had to do is put new blades on it, change oil and filter and it still runs great. I don't have a big yard but I kept get tints pissed at having a hurting back after pushing my mower. My yards about 3/4 acre so it's takes a small amount of time to mow with the tractor.

The Cub Cadet is a good mower. The Tiger General is better.

Cub Cadet is made by MTD who makes about 20 different brands of mowers with different colors and stickers.

I have a 42 inch cut one that I bought in 2011. Hydrostatic transmission and Kholer engine.
I'm not a fan. Just a bunch of small aggravating problems with it since I've had it. It's not abused either as I only use it to cut my yard which is less than 3/4 of an acre. It's always been stored indoors in my shop.
Since we have had it it has constantly had problems with eating up belts, the steering locked up due to grease leaking out somewhere on the front end, and the latest problem is something with the linkage to the gas pedal.
