I agree with this and Lexington is cool as hell. Probably the 2nd most underrated .5MM to 1MM sized-city in America behind Omaha.

I don't think it is quite that big. It is probably over 500,000 if you include the metro area. It is very underrated though. I go there a lot for work. They have great local restaurants and lots of talent around the campus.
