Re read the thread tomorrow. It reads as if your girlfriend cheated on you you're breaking up with her.

yeah I've cooled down a bit and have to admit I was a little over the top.

It probably didn't help having to reply to the handful of Apple apologists in this thread. I've always been an apple supporter but Christ some people think they can do no wrong.

I don't think I'm getting into the fray tomorrow. This actually might be a good opportunity for me to compare it to the Moto X or the Nexus 6 a few weeks from now when they release.

All good

I'm pretty much all in with Apple. The MacBook Pro definitely keeps me tied in. Quality of construction is like none other out there.

I think I'm waiting to hold the 6+ in my hand to see if I like it first anyway. We shall see.

Just a bit, but I understand the anger that would come from losing a preorder. Hard to get passed being pissed off you aren't getting something new and shiny, but I wouldn't blame Apple too much for this one beyond lack of communication when the order was cancelled. System should of sent something out when the order was killed.

This one bites a lot of people every time. I ordered two orders (one with Verizon that wasn't schedule to come in til 10/7 and one with Apple for 9/19 when the store finally came up) and then cancelled the Verizon order. However, I knew better than to risk eligibility issues by putting those orders on the same phone lines. I used different phone lines for each order.

Just chalk it up to a lesson learned and don't beat yourself up about it or write off brands. This could easily happen with any Android maker as well.

I went through almost the exact same thing as you when the iPhone 4 was released. Ordering the phone through Apple didn't work out because they couldn't communicate properly about my upgrade. Take a deep breath. You'l get the phone eventually.
