Potential will be very difficult to convey to a new employer, because your work may not reflect everything your employer saw to get you there. I am finding myself in this position right now. I'm immobile due to lack of 'experience.' I have great experience, but not longevity. I can't even make a lateral move to another company. It's frustrating. I'm focusing my attention in the near future on gaining credentials to bolster my résumé.
