Do you believe it permissible for ULM teams to refer to themselves as just the University of Louisiana when they play sports? If not, why not? Just really curious to see what the thought process is on this.....

Does not matter if it is permissible, The Warhawks have every right to call themselves The University of Louisiana as U.S.L. does.

Really? Perhaps you venture over to the OT and check out the 14 page thread about the university's name (the topic wasn't about the name but like all Cajuns threads, it got there). Don't trip over the dead horse along the way.

I recognize that this topic comes up often....but normally it is ULL fans claiming they should be called UL...and ULM fans saying they shouldn't. I'm curious what ULL fans' response would be if ULM made a push to be recognized as UL. Would they object? And if so, why?

Honestly, I am the wrong person to ask because I don't think we should have changed from USL. I really hate the whole name debacle. I just don't believe a name either helps or hinders success athletically.
