You don't have to sign a spot delivery form, if it's not spotted. Signing a spot form usually happens after hours or on the weekends.
You do get selective pricing signing with a credit union. Being a member of one gets you certain discounts. The rebate is probably the rebate they were offering, regardless of the finance source.
