Sorry, his offhand quote doesn't make up for the actual content of the Constitution.
Not to mention Jefferson and Franklin were clearly Deist.

So we can take a letter that Jefferson wrote to a Baptist church and use it as the Establishment Clause but in no way take a letter John Adams wrote to Jefferson to show what Principles this country was founded on, according to John Adams. Shows intent by the way.
