Not only is this not what Germans means, it's not what Obama does. Obama's relationship with the news is that he never knows about anything bad going on in his administration until he sees it on the news.

Means "germane" shortened to germans. As in omit or not germane to the situation.

Obama doesn't release news. He gets the news when it is Germans!
