I know the problem! If she really wants marriage she needs to ditch him. But she has convinced herself she Only wants to be married to him.

He doesn't cheat on her bc he's too lazy to look. Plus you bet your arse she is jealous and keeps constant tabs on him

Well she obviously has serious issues.
Honestly....I don't know if I could remain friends with someone that delusional. Just don't see what I would have in common with someone like that to keep the friendship going.
I lost friends when I was dating my loser ex. They just couldn't deal with me anymore making constant excuses for him. And they didn't want him around when we hung out as couples with everyone. It hurt...but looking back, I honestly can't say I blame them. Luckily after I left him I was able to reconcile many of those friendships. They really tried hard to be honest and supportive to me and be there for me...but it got to be just too much for them. I'm sure it was very draining to be my friend during that time.

probably why he won't marry her

Nurse, you've been pretty candid on here about your past relationship and I admire you for talking about it, and for having the strength to walk away after 9 years. If he had asked you to marry him towards the end of your relationship, would you have said yes?

I think it's more than that fin.
You see the earlier posts?
8 years and he won't even say "I love you" to the girl

First off you should never say "honey" you old creep

She's a good friend. I won't ditch her. Then she might get even more screwed up. Their issues don't affect me, it's just hard to watch sometimes.
Mr drinks can hardly stand her though. Says she's pathetic.

We actually were engaged at one point. Then broke up and got back together...but never got engaged again.
But...he admitted he never wanted to marry me and only asked to buy more time with me. I finally got him to admit this to me when I left him.

I'm sure you don't keep in contact with him anymore, but do you know if he is married or otherwise with anyone else? Just being nosy

Lets examine this statement and see if we can find the "problem" in the relationship.
I thought I was the only one who saw that

I'm fb friends with him(although I don't chat with him or anything).
He has been engaged 3 times since I left him. Never married any of them.
He's single now (based off his fb) with an 8 year old daughter that he raises on his own.

Aw come on
Ok. She's content with day to day bf/gf stuff.
But she does want more eventually.
Maybe I'm wording it wrong. She's happy but wants more. She's not unhappy with their relationship, she just wants to add on to it.

So she thinks it's totally normal to be with someone for 8 years that won't even say "I love you"???
Does she say it to him?
Posted on 9/15/14 at 5:36 pm to lsunurse
Yeah she says it to him. He just says "ok" back to her.
She knows it's not normal.

Not normal? How about completely fricked up?

Idk. It's weird.
They function like a bf/gf but then all this stuff lies under the surface.
