lol at all the people who are all "praise God I got beat"
You still acted up, didn't you? One would think the beatings woulda had more of an effect. All beatings do us teach kids to try to hide the things they do better.

OK, Mr. Liberal Douche on Soapbox ... I'll entertain your comment.
Yes, I am happy that my father and mother cared enough about me to teach me right from wrong and had the fortitude to show me that actions have consequences.
And, I have not one scar from it.
Not one day in my life have I doubted their love for me, unconditional.
I had plenty of friends that did not have such good parents ... many of them are now either dead, in jail, or leading unproductive lives in which they will never achieve close to their potential.
And, I promise you, there were many things that I did NOT do ... knowing that I would have to face my father (and his belt) if I got caught. That fear, coupled with flat-out knowing what I was contemplating was wrong ... often helped me make the right decision.
And ... it also taught me ... if you are going to bend the rules or go into a gray area ... do your best NOT to get caught, but if you do get caught, BE PREPARED TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE. And don't even think about lying, because that will only make it worse and the truth will come out.
And that is where we run into my issues with people like you ... you believe in a no-accountability world....hypocritically always wanting to point a finger at others.
Zero Accountability ... we see it every day in this country.
But AD crossed the line with a child that young. And he is being held accountable for it.
