I think it was a coaching plan - looked kind of scrimmage coaching to me. I think the up-the-middle and power stuff was mainly for Porter - who obviously needed the game reps.
I think the over all demeanor of the offense and Jennings was affected by this and it resulted in generally sluggish play - especially in the 1st half.
We shall see if Porter with the O-Line jells into form for SEC play soon enough.
