Like when he got in the pissing match with Ballack. When Ballack was showing he was clearly beyond Alexi's scope he just tried to talk over him and make fun of his English.

he's good at what he does if you agree with him or not.

That seems to be one of his go-to moves when dealing with non-native English speakers.

His beef with Cameron ended with Cameron looking soft, but his comeback at Jermaine Jones making fun of his English was just petty and pretty fricking lame. I'm not seeing him regularly now that the World Cup is over so my distaste for him has fallen a little bit.
