here's my experience
.i finally dcedied to try out the 'xfinity wifi' since it pops up as an 'available wifi' all the damn time on my phone
why not save my phone data right? all you gotta do is log in one time with your comcast credentials.
ok this was hands down the most miserable experience of my life
i left myself 'signed in' for about a week and what it did..was everytime i stopped at a red light and some random xfinity signal 'wafted through' my phone would turn off data and attempt to connect to xfinity
by the time it connected i was moving again and then any pandora or other streaming I was doing in my car suddenly cut off
gps went haywire while it tried to figure out if i was using data or wifi for my location
by the time it figured out the wifi was gone and reconnected to data..guess what? another xfinity wifi signal was in range
rinse rather repeat
so as a 'feature' of seamless login to the 'xfinity wifi network', i made my life miserable for a week until i flushed the wifi connection pairing.
useless. the end.

There is a setting for that in Android

normally the seamless switching is great..when i get home..to work..at starbucks.
however, throw xfinity in there and everything goes to hell.

every once in awhile i'll be near a mcdonalds at a stoplight and i would have the issue with the att/google starbucks/mcdonalds wifi service trying to auto-login.
LIKE ONCE A MONTH.
but the xfinity shite is ****EVERYWHERE**** so it has the same effect as thousands of tiny data disrupters all over town fricking with your phone.
at no time have i ever connected to any of them long enough in my car to actually complete the handshake.

I haven't had that problem at all. I actually use it all the time.

Sounds like an Android problem. You should get an iPhone

You poor thing. It sounds terrible.

You should already have a tasker profile to turn your wifi off when you get in your car.

I haven't found one that is usable. The few I have connected to were ~56k dialup speeds.
I have my Truck NFC tag turn off my wifi when I get in so no problem when out and about.
